Lovely 3-bedroom apartment in Colchester

Property was selected as it provided three bedrooms for the party of four (couple and two adult children). Reasonable location for central Colchester and for access to NE Essex. Instructions to find key etc were fine. It is possible to walk into Colchester which we did via footpath by the lake. Takes about 35 minutes. Walking route also follows S1 bus route for some of the way. WiFi access was easy to establish and use.

While the bedrooms and bathrooms were fine the living room / dining area off the kitchen was small and not easy for sitting in after dinner. The property was meant to be non-smoking but on arrival there was a strong smell of smoke in bedroom 3 which was unpleasant. Parking arrangements were OK but the Visitor space was fully occupied throughout stay which meant both cars were parked on the quiet adjacent road. (Suspect that this area is used for "free parking" by commuters). We took out waste at end of stay, arrangements for recycling very vague.

3 bedrooms, two toilets/baths. Clean overall. Safe. Consumables available. Heating available at each room, individual switch on/off, warms quickly. Enough space at wardrobes. One large mirror when added it will be a positive element.

The kettle was not clean, we bought vinegar to clean it and use it. The toaster needed cleaning as well. Showers were small. These two were minor to the overall experience at the flat.

The flat was up-to-date, clean, and laid out well. Communication with owner was excellent.

Clean and comfortable property. Good communication with the host. Flat was well equipped.

Communal hallway didn’t smell good. However this did not effect our stay

It was a beautiful home and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing time away. The bedrooms were very spacious and extremely comfortable and so were the pillows. It was very clean and plenty of space for us all. The apartment was very practical especially if you need to study with smart desks and chairs in each bedroom. A very modern inviting home.
