Lucia&Umberto's Home

Lucia and Umberto are very kind and helpful hosts. The flat is easily approachable from Venice Treviso Airport and getting to Venice is also convenient - there is a bus stop right in front of the building. The place is very pretty, stylish, and clean, full of interesting books. The rooms are spacious. The lady who cleaned the place after my stay was also very nice. Highly recommended place!

Had an amazing and comfortable stay in their home which is beyond our expectation. The location is convenient, with a bus directly to Venice just downstairs (also a walking distance to Mestre centre), the room is spacious and cozy for two of us to stay for a few nights, while we could use the kitchen for making breakfast. What brings our trip to the next level is the beautiful people here - the host Umberto is very friendly, communicative and helpful, we are very grateful to meet him and got some time to exchange our thoughts, which is one of the most unforgettable lovely moments in our journey. Thank you for everything!

What I appreciate most is that the apartment has a soul, it has artworks, books, houseplants, etc., at the owners' careful choice. Perfect public transport connections to Venice, with a bus stop right outside the house. Next door, there is also a bar (café) where you can have a morning coffee or an Italian-style cappuccino before the bus.

Umberto and Lucia are very nice, friendly, helpful and easy-going people. Really a joy to meet them and to stay in their very nice apartment with my room on the back of the building, quiet and only direct sun in the afternoon, the bed was good. Apartment is on the 3th floor but there's and elevator too. You can use bathroom, kitchen, living-room and balconies and they're all big. Location is very fine, about 15 min walk from train-station, 5 minutes to Mestre-centre and very convenient bus-stop in front of the building with direct line to Venice. There are some supermarkets and small restaurants nearby too.

Great location, wonderful hosts

My holiday went smoothly well at Lucia&Umberto’s place. Self-check-in was very easy and the hosts were always in touch. I received a lot of needed advices and necessary information. Great location for unforgettable vacation in Venice.

The room with actually a little less than 10m2 space was not sufficient for a good sleep. Enough fresh air is only possible with open windows - which was kind of cold. Furthermore it was the first time we had a small allergic reaction on our skin while travelling - the mattress only had a few small stains, but the pillows had huge yellow stains. The mattress itself was very uncomfortable. Of course this downside might differ from person to person, but that is also one of the main reasons I enjoyed every other room/hotel/hostel more than this. The small bathroom which should be used first never had toilet paper during our stay. Also the door did not close after several tries. After the bathroom was already used, it also occurred that there was no warm water left. I also see that a shampoo was in the shower, but the about 8 other bottles were empty like the toothpaste. Also the photo of the room on booking.com shows the double bed closed which looks like sufficient storage space is part of the room. Without that space the room always seemed messy. Of course the photos always show the rooms in the best way (e.g. without the two black spots in the corner left from the windows) but the 10 or 8,8m2 were less then expected.

The flat has a great location. Right outside there is a bus 4L that goes directly to Venice. There is also a few cafes to grab quick breakfast or you can make one in the kitchen. The room is spacious and the owners are very nice.

The lock in the bathroom was barely working (you need to put a lot of strenght to close it). There is only a table lamp in the room and no wardrobe/cupboard.
