Old Riga Plaza Hotel

Hotelli oli siisti ja henkilökunta mukavaa. Sijainti oli hyvä, kätevä liikkua kävellen vanhakaupunki kaikki nähtävyydet. Ruokakauppa lähellä myös.

Ikkunat oli kadulle ja vastapäätä olevat ravintolat oli viikonloppuna auki klo 06 asti ja musiikit soi täysillä.

L'emplacement, la qualité du lit

Le bruit+++ : hôtel en face d'un bar avec peu d'isolation. Ouvriers de l'hôtel qui font des travaux à la perceuse jusque minuit ! Malgré les appels à la réception et la rencontre des employés, ils ont poursuivis les travaux car ce n'est pas tard selon eux... Moisissures dans la salle de bain dans la douche et sur les volets. Réception quasi toujours fermée donc pas d'accès à la fontaine à eau ou la machine à café (payante), et ne répond quasi pas au téléphone.

I traveled solo and felt very safe here. The location was excellent for accessing all the things I wished to do in Riga. The room was a good size and comfortable. It is about a 10 minute walk from the bus station, so very easy to access if you are traveling the Baltics via bus.

It was quiet because my room was on the backside of the hotel and there were not many other patrons staying at this time. As many other reviews mention, there is a very lively nightclub just across the street from the hotel. On my last night, two gentlemen were staying in the room next to mine, and I could here virtually everything through the walls (they were not partying, the walls just appear to be thin). I also had some trouble communicating with front desk staff when I arrived in order to receive the entry code. There are instructions to call a local number, but my e-Sim only allowed for WhatApps calls. I had to wait for messages to go through this platform in order to receive the code.

Jättebra läge, helt perfekt. Incheckning och utcheckning görs utan att personal är där om man anländer dåliga tider.ä, vilket var super smidigt.

Träffade aldrig personalen i princip vilket känns lite opersonligt om man bryr sig om sånt. Inte så ljudisolerat

The lay out of the room & facilities provided were good. The bed on the other hand....

My wife could not understand why the topper was narrower than the mattress on her side of the bed. She was doing her best not to sleep on the side edge to avoid falling off. The mattress was so soft it made a Mr Wippy ice cream feel like Brighton rock. The result of which we woke up with back worse than Quasimodo on a good day.
