Newly Refurbished Homely 4BR in Sherwood

Kitchen was a good size and we were able to prepare and cook meals there. Washer/dryer was handy. Had problems with shower head when we arrived and great response from property as they came and fixed it straight away.

Was very dirty. Had only had a surface level clean and needed a deep clean. Rubbish bin was dirty in kitchen when we removed bin liner. Dusty side tables and lamps in bedrooms. No matress protectors on beds just a sheet straight on matress. A few small tears in some of the sheets. No cleaning products provided in the house at all except for dishwash detergent and we had 5 adults there for a week. We were unable to clean the sink in the bathroom or the toilets. The shower blocked after 2 days and I had to pull out the drain to find it was filthy with a build up of sludge, scum and hair - not ours. I had no gloves or cleaning products but did my best to clear it with a plastic bag . Around the toilet bases were dirty. Wheelie bin outside was overflowing when we arrived on Sunday and rubbish day wasnt until friday. No bin bags, we had to buy these for inside bin and only 1 tea towel.

Property was clean

Bathrooms were very small for the number of guests. They asked for a refundable security deposit of £300 after having paid fully for the accommodation. It was in the small print of the booking details so not easy to see. Also they're all double beds so not the best if you're a group of mixed gender friends, ideally a few single beds instead of a double would be a good option

The house was clean and the beds were comfortable.

The only real issue we had is that the kitchen was missing a few items. There were no oven gloves and only one fork in the cutlery drawer which meant we had to buy plastic ones! Other things which would have made the stay more enjoyable is if the bathroom had a toilet roll holder. Also, if bedside lamps in bedrooms worked (just needed replacement bulbs). I think it’s important to add in the description that if taking more than one car, you will require a permit if staying Monday - Friday.
