The Crown, Bildeston

The rooms were very pleasant and comfortable and, when we asked for a slightly larger one, we were given one without fuss.

The bath needed more thorough cleaning and the food at dinner was a bit hit and miss and quite expensive. I was served chopped up asparagus stalks in a sauce with a poached egg when it is usually served whole! The venison though was perfect…

The evening meal was superb, the breakfast was good and the staff were very welcoming. The setting and ambience were spot on for a pleasant break in the country.

Intelligent, welcoming, polite, attentive staff. Beautiful premises very tastefully furnished and decorated. Relaxed vibe, excellent food and drink. Comfortable bed. Didn’t hear a peep from another room (some noise from the bar below late on but that was quite fun and to be expected).Lovely walks.
