A peaceful little English village that is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast was a true English breakfast — incredibly delicious and served in a very generous portion. Sorry again that I couldn’t finish it all afterward! 😊 Not far from the accommodation, following the host’s recommendation, we walked over to the local pub, where we enjoyed some great beers in the evening, and then returned the next day for a truly delicious lunch. The accommodation itself is beautiful and a true gem for anyone who would like to immerse themselves a little in the past. As archaeologists, this place was absolutely perfect for us. Since we are planning to return to the area next year as well, we will definitely spend another one or two nights here again. We are very happy that we chose to stay here and that we were able to relax a little in this wonderful place.

David was an excellent host. We arrived very late after a delayed flight but David came to greet us. Our breakfast was delicious and enjoyed with the other guests.

Quirky and interesting old Manor House. Friendly and interesting host. Lovely breakfast.

As the weather was particularly cold the central heating struggled to warm the rooms, in particular the breakfast room. We had been warned what to expect by the host and it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of our stay.
