Dog Friendly Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs

Everything, clean warm cosy pod , we slept well , hot tub was pre lit and plenty of logs to keep it going , beautiful surroundings, staff were lovely, helpful , we will be back 😀 ❤️

The toilet shower room was not clean, wet floor, winter the heater was poor, I would say overpriced for what you got, no information booklet in the property, host didn't reply to emails, calls, texts.

Was freezing paid for logs but you have to heat up your hot tub surely should be done and kept warm till you arrive tele was broke kept changing on its own

Dirty, paid for extra service for preheated hot tub but when we arrived there was no fire for the hot tub and there was no kindling and no way to start the fire only managed to get it on after someone picked up after 15 calls and helped find wood and start a fire,projector didn’t work which never got fixed during the stay, extremely hard to contact anyone, advertised to be with a hot tub but you have to buy wood for it to be heated up (£36-47.50£), room smelt like damp and found bunch of mould and hairs, kitchen oven took a very long time to heat up and was dirty, drying room light didn’t work, shower went cold after 5 minutes and didn’t heat up again.

The staff were lovely, especially Emma, her partner, and Chris. They were very approachable and hands on. Unfortunately, it was clear that they struggle to do their jobs as efficiently as they are clearly very capable of doing. We think this is due to lack of hands on support from the owners and lack of money being reinjected back into the site. We loved where our glamping pod was positioned as it was very private. The onsite facilities, such as the kitchen and the BBQ area were easy to find and use. The site has the potential to be stunning, and hopefully the owners will put Emma & her partner in charge and give them proper titles as mangers, so that they can do the job to a high standard which they clearly are capable of doing if they were just given the chance and not have their hands tied. Would return in the future providing they don't slap on extras and the false advertising was corrected, plus if we saw Emma and her partner in a proper position to enable them to bring the standard of the site upto it full potential.

The owners not responding to any calls/emails! Including fromus & Booking.com. We didn't like the false advertising- saying dog friendly hottub glamping, then AFTER booking & paying, to be told via a bombardment of auto generated emails/texts from the owners that its extra if we wanted to heat the hottub and extra a dog-there was not an option to add this prior to booking, so we were led to beleive they were included. If we had known they wanted an extra £20 per night for a dog before clicking on book/pay, we would have not gone ahead with the booking. We had already paid £162 for 1 night, which we thought at the time of booking was a good price, because we thought everything was included that was advertised in the title of the site, (dog and hottub). To be asked for an extra £36.50 per bag of logs (Canadian tubs take upto 3 bags to heat up/stay hot for one session). An additional £7.50 for fire kindling. Plus if you wanted the tub to be pre lit/ heated before arrival, ready for check in at 4pm, it was further charge of around £26. This adds up to over £150 on top of £162 we had already paid. This was for only 1 night in a glamping pod, not a night at the Savoury! All of these were added after the booking was made, so exactly what had we paid for!? Essentially a room with a bed and TV, a cold tub and not dog friendly. The site is tatty with lots of disused/broken furniture being stored in multiple places around the site where guest can see. Very unsightly. At the entrance there are at least 6 or 7 industrial bins, all severely over flowing & the plastic was splitting due to the amount of rubbish inside/ spilling over the top onto the floor. We feel a bill has not been paid & the waste company have refused to collect. We come to this conclusion because of the amount of rubbish that one would expect as a normal amount between collections was not what we witnessed.
