Noise from outside

The apartment was very clean, good cooking facilities and storage spaces, smelt wonderful and the heaters really did heat the place. Lovely to have a TV with lots of options of catch up and Netflix. Communication with the owners was fantastic great explanation of how to enter the apartment. The location was very close to the main town center and close to the local train station. It was very quiet although some reviews say loud, but it's right in the heart of the city center but we had no issues with noise at all. Extra bedding and pillows and towels. Overall a lovely stay - P.s great pillows love a place with a good amount of pillows.

Only down falls for me was the bed was quite uncomfortable, if you like a memory foam mattress then here's your place, but personally not for me. Didn't sleep for 3 nights properly due to being uncomfortable and me and my partner rolling into the middle of the bed as the mattress was too soft - and a general thing with memory foam I find ( just a preference for us nothing against the apartment or hosts ) bed was on the smaller side not a big double bed, we did try the sofa bed but as sofa beds go they aren't the most comfortable either haha! But nothing against the host, everyone has their preferences and ours wasn't a memory foam mattress. Didn't provide any toilet roll so had to go out and buy, not a huge issue just thought it would have come with the apartment. The shower wasn't the best pressure so I struggled to shower properly due to not enough water. Also no hot water to do dishes so had to use a kettle to wash dishes. ( Again only small things but important to highlight for a honest review).

It's a nice little apartment in the city centre close to the shops and transport links. It's got all the facilities necessary for a short stay.

I was looking for a quiet place in a central location but it turned out that this back street was popular among homeless people. It's not too bad but you may witness some strange activities near the entrance and hear a bit of noise in the evenings (bedroom windows face the street). I was travelling for work so I would appreciate a better desk for the laptop because no optical mouse can be used on the reflective surface of the dinner table. It would also be great to have an extension lead available in the bedroom. Finally, I would appreciate a lighter duvet or extra bedsheets for warmer nights.
