The Cellar on Hornby

Nothing all was extremely good

Working in Lancaster over 2 days and looking to book for an overnight without the rices of a Premier Inn or a Travel lodge Searched a bit further afield and happened upon The Cellar, looked promising. The drive from Lancaster took a little over 10 minutes, slight confusion over me following Marie's directions up the lane but she had made it clear on her amazing welcoming/information emails. The communication form this host is amazing and one of the highlights. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. It almost felt like home, so much so i had my feet up and a cuppa on the sofa. Short walk to the prom and a lovely night for a walk

It was very nice and had everything that was needed

Very roomy apartment, parking outside, TV linked to Wifi, all you need fridge, kettle, microwave, etc. etc.

The weather, it was pouring down for some of the visit.

Absolutely lovely place to stay they had everything you needed with a comfy bed, sofa, kitchen, and a decent shower 🙂 the TV was great too as it had Netflix and iPlayer etc so you could watch whatever you wanted 🙂 The location was lovely and quiet and not far away from the seafront 🙂 and you have your own private Parking Space outside the house which is handy 🤗 Next time I return to Morecambe I will definitely try and book in here again

Tucked away on a peaceful street in Morecambe, this gorgeous cottage felt less like a rental and more like a well-kept secret I was lucky enough to stumble upon. And if you ever felt like trading the sea breeze for mountain air, the Lake District is just a short drive away—close enough for spontaneous road trips, but far enough that you’d return to the stillness of Morecambe with a newfound appreciation for its quiet charm. A rare blend of coastal calm and countryside escape. The cottage has everything a self-catering traveller could wish for—thoughtfully equipped, effortlessly comfortable. With major shops just around the corner, daily life flows with ease, letting you slip into the rhythm of the town like you belong there. It’s the kind of place that lets you go beyond sightseeing—where, for a short while, you stop being a visitor and start being a local. And really, there’s no better way to understand a place than to live as one of its own. To top it all off, there’s your own private parking bay—no circling the block, no stress—and the WiFi is fast and reliable, for those moments when you need to reconnect with the outside world. The hosts were superb: warm, responsive, and genuinely kind. When I accidentally broke an ornamental bowl, they wouldn’t even hear of me paying for it—a small gesture that spoke volumes about their generosity of spirit.

Love absolutely everything , third time staying here

The apartment is very close to the sea and the promenade. It has everything needed and the rooms are very spacious. Mary was very responsive and helpful. Thank you!
