Cabaña La Vía Láctea

The location and the cabin were perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and having coffee in your kitchen.

The bed is a bit hard for our taste but we were warm enough. It would be nice to have some signage outside to identify the name of the cabin as we were unsure if we were in the right place.

The host was super helpful and responsive. The chimney was a dream!! The location was great and close to san jose del pacifico downtown, so you can get wonderful meals all day.

The peace, nature, coziness, the bed, location,...

We had a lot of 'visitors'! People who went before us left the bathroom window open. There were 4 hughe spiders (non toxic) and a salamander in the house. The next day, 3 dogs were standing at our door. We loved it!

The cabaña was very clean and cosy. Having a fireplace, with all the wood already set up, was lovely. A special thank you to the hosts who met us at a spot 20 minutes away (we went to the wrong place) and personally took us to the cabaña on their motorbike under the pouring rain. The location is great: you can walk to the village in about 20 minutes. Make sure to climb up the tree platform that's a dozen metres away from the accommodation's gate, on the left, on the path leading to the main road (it belongs to another cabaña though so you have to pay the guys a small fee).

Many of the window shutter locks are jammed so the room can be quite dark. I was able to unscrew them with a screwdriver located in the garage to open the shutters but it would be good to grease or replace them.

Great location and private feel. Cozy simple cabin. Hot water was great. Bed mattresses were good enough. Management was responsive. If you're looking for something rustic, I'd highly recommend.

Kitchen was very simply stocked. If you're planning to do any real cooking, I would plan to bring the kitchen items you like to work and serve with. Tools like pans and utensils were old and cheap. The staff did respond to my request to drop off some sponges to clean with and pan in better shape. So I appreciated that. The other thing that needed some help is better pillows. Time to get some new ones.

Loved this place so much. Was so perfect for a few days in the mountains. The owner was lovely and so helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! So peaceful. Thankyou.
