Colleen Bawn Cottage Gap Of Dunloe Kerry

The cottage has an ideal location right in the middle of the Gap of Dunloe. Many great sites are within reach if you have a car. Two bedrooms are seperated, one is a go-through-room and there is only one bathroom in the house. But the rooms are spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped.

~Location was amazingly beautiful but scary to get to. Very twisty one lane road. ~Welcome milk and water were handy. ~toilet paper and paper towel provided. ~Dot was very responsive. ~water pressure good. ~full size, separate washer and dryer. ~heat good. ~lots of storage. ~easy access to Killarney. ~soup at Coffee Pot Cafe up the road!

~ musty smell in sitting room. ~ soft, soggy beds. ~ dated, slapdash decor, furniture and kitchen ware. ~ old tv in sitting room. ~ no instructions for heat, hot water, washer, dryer, door lock, shower, small appliances. ~ would not drive road in the dark. Too dangerous. ~ no cell service but wifi was okay.

If you are looking for a place to plug out, this is it. Scenery breathtaking

Cold when we arrived as all windows were open. No firelighters to light the basket of wood. Oil heating ran out on our second day there. Absolutely no WiFi or phone coverage

Great cottage in a beautiful location. Stunning drive and walks to/from the cottage. Amenities as described.

The connectivity at the cottage wasn't great - limited phone coverage and the WiFi was very slow. However this is a bonus if you want to switch off.

The location- situated at the heart of the Gap of Dunloe. Furnitures- beds are comfy and rooms are spacious, appliances are modern and working, tables and chairs are provided for outside sitting. Overall, this place is a gem 💎

Lovely rural setting, great views, no data or wifi so all able to take a time out. Great base for Carrauntoohill, Killarney, Ring of Kerry etc.
