NZThe accomodation was amazing! Great value for 6 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of room within the house. Facilities were great. The lake view was amazing too! Walk out the door, down the grass and you’re at the lake.

Bathroom floor very very slippery when wet. Granddaughter slipped over, luckily just a bump to the head.

The "passport" initially requiring me to send a photo of my ID to the host, and the communication around arranging a late check-out. You request it through the host's website and I did not receive a response even up to an hour before check out. Had to call them and the first person who answered didn't know how to process the request, said they would call me back, but didn't and I called back 10 mins before check out time. Made the $50 I paid for late check out less valuable given how I had to get ready to leave while waiting for confirmation

NZLocation was brilliant - close to the lake, wonderful vista of the hills and mountains, access to bike track excellent. House was VERY spacious. Neighbours were friendly. Able to use sea kayak after asking BCR.
There was no welcome guide that provided detailed instructions on what to do e.g. what to do with rubbish, if we run out of amenities - like dish washing liquid. The garage door did not open and we had to ring BCR for someone to come and fix the issue. We paid a considerable amount of $$ for this stay and expected a higher standard of communication - important to note there was some electronic communication via email for general guidelines but the important details like listed above need to be included. It also felt more like how much $$ can be made out of us staying (offering extras for more $$) rather than how can we make it the most enjoyable stay. NB: Having said this, Renee, our contact from BCR, was VERY helpful remedying the issues raised. We would recommend that there is air conditioning installed as the house was uncomfortably warm/hot - even with doors open to allow the air through. There was an air conditioning panel on the lounge wall but we struggled to make it work - unsure if this works at all - again some instructions would have been helpful (We have a/c at home and know how that works!).
