Royal Retreat ,Kandy

The hotel offered an amazing view, and the room was spacious and comfortable. There was hot water, and the location was calm and peaceful. It was also conveniently close to the Dalada Maligawa.

We were told there was a jacuzzi available for one hour at Rs. 4000, but when we tried it, it didn’t work properly. There was no hot water or massage function, and the bottom was not clean. The hotel also didn’t offer any proper dining options. The breakfast was disappointing, with small portions and average taste. The English breakfast included just two slices of toast, one egg, and two mini sausages, while the next day’s Sri Lankan breakfast had only two small pol rottis with seeni sambol clearly not enough for an adult.

Der Preis ist super , haben 2 Stunden zu spät ausgecheckt da wir am Abend noch länger aus waren , haben voll verschlafen, erst nach 1,5 Stunden wurde erstmals nachgefragt:) Bett war gut , Klima funktioniert!

Die Bilder haben nichts mit Realität zutun , Mega veraltet und sehr runtergekommen, also teurer darf es auch nicht sein , der Pool ist schon lange defekt, funktioniert also Zero , kein sauberes Wasser und kalt , trotzdem müsste man bezahlen wenn man ihn nutzen möchte, er funktioniert nicht einmal , haben ihn natürlich diesbezüglich nicht nutzen können, könnte man definitiv aus der Anzeige streichen, sollte sich also jemand denken , das Hotel sieht nach einem Mega schnapper aus für das Geld , denn muss ich leider enttäuschen, aber eine super günstige Alternative irgendwo günstig zu schlafen.

Wonderful home turned guest house, big rooms and friendly staff. Located in a nicer part of the city close to major attractions and lake. Supermarkets and great bakeries around.

Die Lage war gut. Schöner Ausblick.

Das Zimmer war eine Katastrophe überall lagen Haare. Auf dem Bett, auf dem Boden und im Bad. Der Wasserhahn war nicht mehr richtig fest. Auch nach der Bitte um eine Reinigung waren die Haare zwar weg, aber es gab noch Verbesserungspotentzial. Beim Frühstück waren in meinen Eiern leider auch mehrere Haare und das Besteck war auch nicht sauber.

You should stay here! Wow what a place. This accommodation has no right to be this good. It is fantastic a massive hotel with enormous rooms and incredible views from the roof. The staff are really friendly and it was the best value for money for any accommodation that we stayed in Sri Lanka.
