Relax with spectacular views and Hot Tub

The location & views were fabulous.

The property was dirty and the dust was affecting my sinuses so much that we left the property a day early. The kitchen was unusable; - cooker was dirty - fridge had a smell & pieces of food/dirt in it - microwave full of splashed food - worktops were sticky & stained - basin in sink had a scum on it - crumbs from previous guests left on kitchen table Stains on couch, mats & carpets. Mirrors covered in dust & marks..could write your name on them. Downstairs there were dead insects in the main entrance area & bathroom. The property is very run down, needs a deep clean and repaint. There was no instructions on how to use heating, contacted Rory (the number provided) & didn’t get a reply. Contacted Adele on booking.com and got instructions. Front door needs attention, the lock is tricky. I contacted Adele on our first day of arrival about these issues and she didn’t offer for the cleaner to come in & rectify it ☹️

Everything! Absolutely everything! Thank you so much for the amazing stay! The fire, the hot tub, the bed, the sheets, the kitchen, the living room, everything just outstanding! So so cozy and comfortable. We absolutely fell in love with the place and most definitely will be back :)

The place was not clean from the last people that stayed we were told because it was some mix up where the next guest after us apparently cancelled which confused the cleaning staff. Loads of black hair in the bath, sink and some even in the bed. What made it even worse was the heating which waking up to an absolute freezing house in December is not ok especially when one of my friends suffers with really bad asthma which could have set it off. Which also meant we couldn’t really stay in the Hot tub as it was not even that warm Had Andy come round to help with heating which we eventually got working again. Even talked to Rory who was very apologetic and even offered a partial refund which I later texted him about to not get any response so no refund was given. WiFi also stopped working on our final morning so having to use our data is just a nightmare overall shame I wanted to enjoy a relaxing after Christmas stay with my friends for all this to happen :(

The location was lovely, the back is right onto the strangford lough and it’s very private. The house is beautiful and very nicely finished. It’s got a very cosy vibe and perfect for couples/small groups with a master and smaller bedroom. The hot tub was a great plus! We personally loved the coffee shop located in the village beside which is very easy to get to. Facilities for everything you need!

Unfortunately a few things went wrong with our stay which we understand may be out of the hands of the host. We were staying on one of the coldest nights of the winter so far, and the boiler was broken. This meant that we had no hot water and also no heating either for the duration of our stay. There was also no working wifi so we were unable to connect the smart tv to any streaming platforms and used our data the whole time. We loved the house itself and we understand that these faults may be out of the hands of the host, but unfortunately these conditions made it uncomfortable.
