"Very good, comfortable self-catering base for exploring the Isle of Bute."

Location great for cycling & walking on the island, and especially for fishing on the nearby breakwater. Just a couple of minutes' walk from the excellent community pub and post office. Large private car parking space, but also adjacent to the local bus stop. Comprehensive (and hand-written) information folder.

Couple of minor niggles: access was only through side door as main door handle/lock had seized up, and heating (which was definitely needed at the time of year) was a bit difficult to control accurately. Quite a noisy location at times due to (a) children attending the primary school next door and (b) building work going on at the adjacent boatyard (hopefully this will only be temporary).

Fraoch is located in a beautiful spot. Very quiet and with the sea views!!! Very well equipped. We had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. Planning to come back next year for longer.
