it was not a standard hotel and you could feel the atmosphere of living in Japan

The biggest problem by far was cleanliness. Even though we were informed that cleaning was taking place and we couldn't check in before 4 p.m., I've never seen a bigger mess. Dust and dirt everywhere. We saw a few bugs and spiders. the mattresses in the sofas and bunk beds are not suitable for sleeping. Only mats remain on the floor. What may be nice for one night, but after 4 nights it makes you sleepless. The toilet is not suitable for use by people over 180 cm. Definitely, of the several locations we visited in Japan, this was the worst. There are no dishes in the kitchen, only 2 glasses. There wasn't even a plate.

The price

Within 30 mins of checking in i decided to book another hotel even without staying here. Here's why 1. location. it's 20 mins walking distance from hakata station. given that i needed to go to this station daily for 7 days, the distance was a big concern for me after i travelled to do the checkin. there was a bus station but the bus wasn't exactly very frequent and it is a little further out from the hangout areas in tenjin and gion. 2. it's an unmanned hotel. meaning if you needed help, don't count on getting it in a timely fashion. i had arrived 30 mins before the check-in time and i had to wait at the ground floor until the machine allowed me to checkin. despite contacting the staff through the reservation portal, there was no response. you'd think they'd be keeping a lookout for messages close to check-in time to assist in any event but no. there were flies (guess because it was spring) along the road and the area which i was waiting at and that bothered me a lot. another reason why i decided to get another hotel with a 24/7 front desk instead was that in case of an emergency like an earthquake which is pretty common in Japan, you can count on getting help. 3. if you're assigned the rooms on the second floor, there's no lift and you've got to climb the narrow stairs with your luggage. i had a big one and it was a struggle 4. first impressions of cleanliness wasn't amazing - the ground floor had leaves all over and i found hair on the floor upon entering the room. 5. lastly i care a lot about the comfort of the bed. the stairs were shaky and the bedding was thin. there was even a part of a wooden plank under the bedding which made me feel like i won't have quality sleep. all these put together let me to decide to head to another place. it was ultimately my shortcomings in reviewing and making a good decision 5 months (?

It was four walls that covered us

Was horrible, unclean, far away, super noisy from upstairs partying and using the toilet. Futon had blood stains on it. Could hear every little noise and the beds were wafer thin. Really would nit recommend to anyone.

good location cleanliness was perfect, futon way more comfortable than expected. i enjoyed that there were lots of free amenities like towels, body wash etc.

because of the high ceilings, the heating was very very slow, and the apartment stayed cold for a long time. also there was some noise almost every night because of neighbors.

Location was convenient. About 12 minutes walk to Hakata Station. And the washing machine was a great help for the long stay.

First, the air conditioner and ventilation fan filters were dirty and clogged . I had to clean it myself because there was barely any air coming out of the air conditioner. Second, the stairs to the upper bunk bed is not secured. It detached when people were climbing and descending from it. In fact it fell many times and almost injured the people below it. Third, kitchen supplies were lacking. There were no plates and utensils. Fourth, the frontage and walkway of the building were dirty. It was full of fallen leaves and dirt and it was very noticeable because the adjacent buildings kept their surroundings clean.

Located in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Hakata Station. I loved my entire stay in this unit– easy check-in/out, very clean, and has everything provided. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the lovely place.
