Super nice and funny host :)! He sent me to a restaurant for food pick up after I arrived quite late!

Host is very helpful and nice. It is well managed.

woke up by the cocks at 3am but it is inevitable since the place is in remoted area.

Amazing place, really well built, tons of plants, all the amenities needed for a short stay. The owner is super helpful. They even organize a transport for you to the port of Maya if needed.

If you’re sensitive to noise this place can be a bit noisy with all the cocks and the early bird fishermen

Nothing we had the worth night ever

About 30-40 rats were running / climbing INTO the flat, they was trying to open our bags, the trash … My friend who was sleeping downstairs didn’t sleep at all because he was afraid to be bitten. I really don’t like to put comments like this but it’s a huge security warning I had to share for the next guests

We didn’t enjoy our stay at all.

We organised a transfer through the contact here which was one of the most awful experiences. Our driver was consistently falling asleep at the wheel and was extremely dangerous. I know the joyful hut cannot be fully responsible however it felt like this wasn’t organised through proper channels. The tab in the bathroom didn’t work, really uncomfortable. I feel if we were better prepare for would have been okay but the pictures are not reflective of the stay.

We arrived late because our bus from Cebu city was heavily delayed because of heavy traffic. They stayed up and met as near the property to show us the way. The hut is very nicely decorated and absolutely clean. They offered a mosquito net and repelent, which kept us safe all night. Highly recommend.

Staff were very friendly, the lodge had plenty of space.

Note that the property is at the old port not the new one that the buses and ferries go to. It was very open, which was not an issue other than the fact there was no soundproofing, this made my night sleep quite distrusted as there was lots of noise throughout the night.

It is such a cute place! Amazing view and atmosphere.

It's a lovely house, very good furnished. I loved to spend a night here in this special place before going to Malapascua. The view to the sea, the beautifully decorated garden, the drinking water for free, the cozy bed upstairs! The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom may be adventurous for some (very little water from the shower and toilet without flush, the DIY Option ;)
