Fabulous 2 Bedroom House just outside Edinburgh

Clean and comfortable. Very cosy, tasteful interior.

Kitchen is upstairs, next to bedrooms, rather than downstairs, next to dining&living room. Not a huge problem though.

Nice spaciious rooms, kitchen fully equiped. Clean and quiet.

Lovely house. Clean. Private. Relaxing. Generous sized rooms. Great nearby walks. 40 min drive to central Edinburgh. Friendly and relaxed hosts.

Beds and pillows were satisfactory for short stay but not particularly comfortable. Some noise from road - traffic lights are very close to bedroom window. Easily resolved/reduced with window closed.

This property was excellent value for money and the facilities were perfect. It had the charm of an older property but everything felt modern. My husband and kids loved the smart LG TV. I liked that the heating worked very well and that everything needed was just there and worked as it should. After a long journey with children I was thrilled to find ice in the freezer for a G&T!. We stayed for 2 nights but honestly I wish it had been a week. Just beautiful and perfect base for Edinburgh if your using the park and ride. I would definitely book this again.

No milk or welcome hamper (would have been a nice touch! Some cake /biscuits etc) No dishwasher tablets and not much washing up liquid (we were only staying 2 night so didn’t think we’d need to bring these) The road behind is quite nosey on an evening No enough towels No teapot No toilet brush Big garden but locked to guests so we had to walk the dog up the road in the dark at night.
