Modern three Bedroom House in great Durham City

Exceeded my expectations.

Would suggest a bin upstairs in the bathroom.

Good value for money. We only stopped-over so not really able to judge the facilities

It was slightly awkward finding it. The house was cold. There were no instructions regarding eg heating, television, wi-fi, local facilities.

Heating: The house was freezing cold. The heating did not work. We messaged the owner, however we did not get a response. Instead we received a call from their neighbour the next morning at 9:30am about it (30 mins before we left). It was middle of February, raining and high winds. We were cold and miserable. Cleanliness: whole place was dirty. I have added a couple of photos to show examples. Stained cushions, chewed gum and sticky stains on the bedside table. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Facilities: we had planned to cook a nice meal, however the only pans in the kitchen were tiny. There were plastic plates. Ended up getting frozen pizzas (oven was absolutely disgusting). We had to take our rubbish home as the bin outside was overflowing. Hot tub - don’t let the pictures fool you. We contacted the owner prior to our stay to ask if the hot tub will be on for our stay. No response. We arrived to find it empty and dirty. Contacted booking.com to complain, owner offered us a measly £20 (we paid £133) so we basically paid £113 to sit in a freezing cold dirty house eating frozen pizzas cooked in an oven that was filthy. Thanks - ruined our night. We were really looking forward to our stay, instead we couldn’t wait till it was morning so we could go home.

House spot on, short walk to town centre shops, pubs ect...

the property itself is lovely, and a great location. but it definitely needs cleaned properly. and needs to actually accommodate its guests instead of false advertisement!!

dirty, rubbish everywhere. mouldy hot tub. not enough crockery for guests staying. food and drink left from previous people. other people’s clothes there. leaky ceiling. absolutely appalling.
