Cool location less than 20 minutes from U of M. Safe, quiet, and suburban area that’s entirely unassuming. Respectful host with a comfortable room and awesome accommodations. Huge TV on a swivel mount with a cool dine in breakfast and coffee area. Had I known breakfast was available for an additional fee, I’d have loved to take up the offer—that’s on me for not fully reading the booking. Either way a pleasant, quiet and safe spot.

Literally nothing; this place was perfect.

Nicely decorated and clean. (Be advised whilst reading I'm a detail oriented person.) 1 each washcloth, hand towel and bath towel and a very small bath mat. I didn't notice till leaving that there were 110v outlets on the headboard, as well as USB ports. The bedside lamps also had USB ports. There were lots of items to fix a meal, (plates, bowls, flatware) a small toaster oven, electric water kettle, coffee maker with pods and a few other things. The mini fridge was so cute and retro looking. There was a little mini buffet table that had little pull out (recessed) seats. The room had a ceiling fan with lights, offset from the bed (not centered). There was a full length lighted mirror and a huge TV with a futuristic (to me) remote. [The remote to the TV needed new batteries and Sam (the owner) was very prompt to respond once I used the front doorbell (a few times, but I think it was the baby's bath time so he couldn't respond to my texts and call).] There was a bidet spray attached to the toilet, which worked great at hosing down the shower after I bathed (because I couldn't figure out the shower wand, see below section). The neighborhood was attractive and quiet (though I had to park in front of the next door neighbor's house). The host was pleasant and prompt (see below section) to requests. The codes for the locks/garage worked well, though at night you'd need a light to see the keypads. I would stay again. Also, it was just a couple of miles to downtown Ypsilanti and eateries/night life. :)

It was quite warm (73-75F) all of the time (with 3 registers). I prefer cooler temps at night, just a personal thing, but no climate controls for the room. The listing states that the unit is soundproofed, which is partially true. Soundproofed to outside noises, however the "wall" (thin acoustic board, not soundproofed 2x4 construction) that separates the unit from the household has a gap (1"+) at the bottom and I believe that it's just outside of the house kitchen (could hear talking, baby crying, etc). Still was quieter most of the time than a hotel room would be (very quite at night). As previous reviews stated, the bed was VERY firm, but hotel beds are (in my experience) always quite to very firm. I couldn't figure out how to use the shower wand, there didn't seem to be a valve/device to switch between the shower head and the hand held. Since I was showering just before checking out, I didn't bother to ask. The soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash weren't labeled with the brand, but I didn't have an allergic reaction to them nor was the shampoo/conditioner extra body (which I can't use so that was nice). I'd read on previous reviews that the steps leading to the unit were unstable and had no hand rail. They have covered the steps with a portable ramp which still has no handrail and bounces when you walk on it, is a bit steep and has hinges running the length in the middle. It would be great if they could stabilize the ramp (underneath) and add the much needed handrail (or remove the wonky ramp, make the steps deeper). (The recliner was comfortable, but I had to move it as it's back was against the wall, next to a rolling side table on one side, and the lighted mirror on the other side and not lined up to view the TV even though the tv pivots.

So many amenities! A very small and cozy room that felt so much bigger once inside. Nothing was missing. Ceiling fan, air filter, a muscle massage tool, blow dryer, the cutest little table with slide-away chairs, mini fridge with separate mini freezer, Keurig, the best light-up full length mirror, motion lights, blackout curtains over blinds, I think I saw a blender, there are good toiletries, double shower head, great water pressure, bath, good towels, luggage rack and more. Also, there is a nice running path nearby. Only 20 minutes to Ann Arbor. The main event is the comfy bed and pillows. Also, so easy with the door code. All very clean.

Excellent place to stay - thoughtfully equipped with guests' comfort in mind, good taste, clean and quiet, hassle-free. Communication was easy. Among the most comfortable beds encountered during my extensive travels (I don't like soft beds). The neighborhood is residential, safe and tranquil.
