Washington Plaza - Portland

The room was just fine for what you’re paying. Unfortunately it smelled like smoke and the bathroom sink was very leaky. But it was a place to sleep. It’s also weird to get in— you have to check in at the nicer hotel around the corner and then walk back to this one; which seems to be an apartment building.

The staff was amazing. I arrived exhausted and confused. It wasn't clear what I should do. I went to the address and found a gated apartment complex, so I called the number and was told that I had to check in at another place. I was also told that I had to pay to park in the structure. I couldn't afford that. And I was not up for going from place to place. I am in a wheelchair. But John came down and walked me to where I needed to go, waited as I checked in, then walked me back to the apartment complex, and even up to my room. I was SO grateful for his kind presence. The man at the check-in counter was also very kind (I'm so sorry for not catching your name). He let me cancel the rest of the days I had booked. That way I could just leave the next morning by the time my car had to be moved from the spot I had found on the street. The room was not inviting. Not very clean. The bed was quite uncomfortable. But the staff took care of me. Thank you.

Location was convenient to bars and restaurants.

A lot of noise early in the morning due to trash collection from building across the street. Water pressure in shower was a little low (we were on the 5th floor).
