Cosy Flat in Central Hexham

Excellent location. Very comfortable flat overall.

Could have done with a sofa that seats 4 people - space is limited but a corner sofa might be a good solution

Location to town centre

The Cosy Flat in Hexham was ‘Ok’ however there were some issues. To start with it is not so easy to find, it is at the end of a very narrow lane along with other flats. The other flats were signed at the entrance but not ours as a result it took a little leg work to find it. Parking was an issue and we later found out that there was a designated spot but it was permanently taken up by someone else who we assumed was a resident! It was a narrow door into the house with an immediate step down into it! If you are not aware of it then it could be a health hazard as I nearly found out. Going in, the first impressions were good with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The first bedroom table lamp had an issue, as soon as you knocked the table it would go off, must be something loose. The windows did not open so ventilation was an issue. The second (on suite) bedroom had a similar issue with ventilation and table lamp (it later transpired to have no fuse), the bathroom door had a tendency to stick but the main issue was there appeared to be biscuit crumbs in the bed and on closer inspection a curly back hair was found! The main bathroom door could not be closed securely nor would it lock. The main living area had a two seater sofa bed a bench seat, table and two dining chairs. Considering this caters for 4 – 6 persons then only two comfortable seats was not enough and it would have been difficult to get 6 people around the table comfortably. The heating was via electric wall heaters and we had no idea what they doing and we could not work out how to control them as there was no instructions. The kitchen area extractor fan did not work. There was no cleaning material to wash up with, had to go and buy some. There was a dishwasher but for what we used it was easier and more economical to wash up by hand. Usually in these properties there would be a welcome pack of some kind to highlight what’s on in and around the location with recommendations for where to eat and handy phone numb

Lovely clean flat in a great Central location. Lots of space, really clean and comfy beds

Location is excellent. The flat was warm and cosy with everything we could need. Very clean. Beds very comfortable. Shower good. Car parking space. It is dog friendly. Owner very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back soon.

Location fantastic for central Hexham, and for a fabulous park suitable for children and dog walking within 2 mins of flat. The host was fantastic at answering all of our questions promptly and so helpful. they were great at suggesting parking information. lots of thoughtful extras eg: umbrellas.

Fabulous flat, spotlessly clean, with everything we needed! Would definitely stay again! Fantastic communication for check in and out.

The heater in the lounge didn't seem to be working, not such an issue at this time of year, the cosy blankets in the lounge made up for this! The towels provided were small and not too fluffy, soft bath sheets would feel more homey but definitely did not put us off booking again.

Nothing really negative to say. If I’m being really picky I would ask for a diffuser on the hairdryer. I have curly hair and forgot to pack my one.
