The quietness of the lodge was outstanding. We had the family apartment to ourselves. We enjoyed our space without any interruption.

It rained during our stay, which made it not to be nice.

The place is very quiet and gives an opportunity for one to relax.

This is a nice bush camp that allows you to pretend you are roughing it in the bush, whilst still having all the basic comforts you may need. I was lucky enough to have the camp to myself, but I can see a group of friends having a great weekend here. Surprisingly good birding in camp. Friendly and helpful staff.

The camp is obviously set up for use by a group, even though as a solo traveler you are able to book only one of the accommodation units. There is only one shared dining table, one shared braai, all the seating is in the shared space..... So if there was more than one group in camp you will be forced to be sociable, whether you wanted to or not.

I love the fact that you are totally surrounded by nature.

We lived everything but the train on occasion woke the kids and I would have liked some bushveld wood instead of buying wood from town.

The staff was friendly, welcoming and more helpful. The place is perfect for unwinding, bonding as a family.

The fact that there is no WiFi or network at all was a problem.. Wi-fi is limited even when connected at the reception area. The type of beds on the family unit needs to be changed or upgraded.. At least something to lock the door inside while sleeping and lastly outside lights throughout the night as the toilets are outside. Gates should be written open on it as it's closed everytime.

The enviroment

Electrify is a problem in the lodge, they r using only solar, if there is no sun it's a disaster, we were on the dark the whole of our duration bcause it was raining, worst, the bathrooms are outside, very inconvenient at nite
