Ella nine arch spice garden

Incredible staff, good breakfast, beautiful clean rooms. We loved our stay here, the staff was super helpful in arranging taxi services and tuk tuks and also giving us advice in planing our itinerary. We couldn’t be happier with this place and would love to come back.

The room and view are stunning, you feel lost in the jungle, away from everything. Probably one of the most beautiful room in Ella. Our host Senaka was incredibly kind and helpful, helping us secure tuk tuks and even driving us into town when we couldn’t and preparing breakfast takeaway boxes when we had to leave early. The breakfast was really nice, complete with Sri Lankan omelette, a variety of spreads and fruit. Overall we had a lovely experience and highly recommend this stay.

There was a bit of noise at night of animals jumping on the roof/moving about etc. It wasnt a big deal for us but for light sleepers this might be a consideration. The location is also a little out of town (10-15min from Ella) and tuk tuk prices are much higher than in Colombo or other big cities

The property is well situated just a few minutes drive from Ella city. You are surrounded by amazing scenery and the view from the room is spectacular. You can even see the waterfall and Nine arch bridge. The room is clean and very tidy. You have everything that you need there. Breakfast is delicious. The staff is very attentive and helpful. A family who runs the property is also very helpful and very kind. Best stay in Ella.

The room and the bathroom were spacious and clean. Had a good view too!! The staff very super friendly and helpful.

We did not get any hot water. However, the staff supplied us with boiled water in buckets and also provided us with a discount for the hot water issue.

The host tried it best but the English knowledge was poor! Good view from the room.

Unfortunately, the owner only greeted us by message in booking and was not on site. The room was not clean. The bed linen was not clean, there were a lot of stains on the walls and a lot of mould in the bathroom. In addition, the toilet was leaking and a mosquito net is urgently needed on the bed. The photos in the booking do not correspond to the actual condition of the room. We booked the room because of the nice feedbacks before and especially due to the cooking lessons. But it looks like that these feedbacks are not up to date. There are no cooking classes available. We were very disappointed!

Views were beautiful and the design was unique. Lahiru who hosted us was an absolute pleasure and organised tuk tuks, was flexible with breakfast had checkout times. Would stay again!

Location: very suggestive in the middle of the jungle. Building structure fantastic. Staff: extremely kind, they tried to satisfy every request.

Position: out of city center and a little bit difficult to reach without own vehicle. Cleaning and furniture can be improved, but still satisfying

Amazing place to stay. Brilliant views and great location.

Cash only! Not a problem but advance warning would have been good, left the checkout experience feeling slightly panicked!
