If you are looking for a budget stay in Porto, then this is a place for you ! Fantastic location (near Torre dos Clerigos) for fantastic price. My room was exactly the same, as it was shown in the picture. Yes, the building and furniture in the room is old, and needs some investment and improvment. But in my opinion it is a real value for money when you compare the price, location and the facilities. It is near the "party" street with a lot of pubs, so you could hear noise at night, but it wasn´t a problem for me at all. Earplugs were waiting for me on the nightstand, but I didn´t use them. The owner is a very kind person and we communicated in a mixture of English and Spanish, since I don't speak Portuguese. If you have a late flight, you can leave your things there after the checkout, and come back later. There are 2 eateries near the accommodation that I wholeheartedly recommend: Flor de Braganca (2 minutes walk to the left) and Confeitaria Tamisa (5 minutes walk to the right), where you can eat quality freshly prepared food at very affordable prices (much cheaper than on the banks of the Douro River). I was starting my day with breakfast and coffee at Tamisa, and Braganca was my go-to place for dinner after a full day of sightseeing. To conclude: if you want a cheap room in a prime location and you don't mind minor flaws, then this is the right place for you. For those who expect accommodation with 4-5 stars for this price, I can only tell them to look further.
