Neighbourgood 84 Harrington

I must first start off with the shower, best i have ever had in my life. The rooms were very modern yet comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty.

Check in time is 14:00pm but i arrived at exactly 13:00pm.Reception told me very directly with no smile and no love that they do not entertain early check ins.I stayed in hotels in three different countries plus numerous places all over South Africa and not once was an early check in a problem at any of these hotels. I only asked for an hour earlier check in but was met with a very cold and straight forward no! I then encountered the tedious task of having to fill in my details (for the second time) on a site on my phone which reception instructed me to do - this is compulsory when checking in.I had to upload a photo of my drivers licence or identity document as well as take a current photo of me, absolutely ridiculous. Once that was done, i advised reception and they then asked me to go click on yet another link which will then provide me with a QR code which opens my door. I used said QR code when i got to me door only for it not to work, by now you can imagine the frustration. Below is no fault of the hotel: Throughout the night, i could hear people shouting. Construction all around. Does not feel safe at all. The website states the below but you only allowed to choose one of the 4/5 options on the menu which does not even come close to what is stated below when you make the booking. Delicious Breakfast: A variety of breakfast options are available, including continental, à la carte, and full English/Irish. Fresh pastries, warm dishes, juice, cheese, and fruits enhance the morning experience. And lastly, please CHANGE THE SOURDOUGH toast...it is as hard as nails.

The staff at reception was excellent and did their best to accommodate me. They attempted to rectify any issues.

The room I was assigned to on the second floor was abysmal, dark, and with a musky smell. The lack of amenities was sad. The bathroom was equipped with a soap dispenser and a bar of head/body soap. Period, the end. No other toiletries were provided. Towels were not exchanged for the four night stay, not even when one was put on the floor for a change. The room service was poor, the bed sheet not once properly smoothened during the four night stay and the floor was filthy and not properly cleaned. The two small water bottles provided upon check in where never replenished for the rest of the stay. All in all, it was a disappointing stay despite a decent location and the friendliness of the reception employees.

The friendly staff and the rooms good aesthetics cleanliness and privacy. I love that there’s a pool and cafe to chill, play and eat, I loved that there is a gym too
