KATHERINES COURT - Spacious Apartment with Rolling Hill Views

Great location. Everything there in the apartment that you could need.

This apartment is ideally located in the centre of Kendal - approximately 3 mins walk to the main high street. It has an allocated secure underground parking space which was a bonus as the nearest free outside parking is time restricted. However, there is the option to park in pay + display car parks a short walk away. The apartment is quaint and cosy yet spacious. The electric radiators are incredibly efficient - they warmed up the rooms within minutes of being switched on. The rooms maintain heat long after the heating has been switched off. Plenty of storage space throughout the apartment particularly in the top / double bedroom. The communal spaces immediately outside the apartment i.e. stairwells, landings, garage and outside forecourt were well lit and therefore I felt safe going to and from the apartment when it was late or dark. The online guide which gives details about how to access the property + parking as well as additional helpful information e.g. local attractions, places to eat etc was excellent. Ben was particularly considerate, touching base once I had arrived and promptly answering my questions submitted via Booking.com during my stay.

The seals on the windows are poor so not only was it possible to feel the draught at times but it was possible to hear people talking / shouting on the street outside. The over the bath shower head provides a weak flow of water which was adequate but it meant standing right up against the bath taps / plughole in order to have a shower. This was a minor inconvenience to be honest.

A slight issue with the front door lock but when you practice a few times it worked

It was nice upstairs room

but there was stains on the bed, the windows were broken so there was a draft in the living room and spare room Was not told the lock box code so was stuck outside for an hour

Bedroom was spacious. 10-15 min walk to central bus station with good access to other parts of lake district. Quiet area. Private parking. Apartment was clean. Books, novels, and guides to lake district were available. 10% off next visit offer.

Garage was very tight; actually scratched my car getting into it :( No washing machine which we knew beforehand. Pillows on chair in living room had spots and were not very clean.

Issue with accessing keys from key box

The location was excellent, we were close to supermarkets, train/bus stations, restaurants. The apartment was very clean and tidy and the area was very quiet.

For three people and a 2-night stay, we recommend putting an extra toilet paper, since one was not enough.

I liked the location and the size of the property was great, parking very secure if a little snug (neighbour cannot park)

The interior is very dated and tired and the shower was a real let down but I would still stay again
