Peacock Room at Field View Cottage

From the entrance to the room itself, it was warm and welcoming. Facilities were good. The little cupboard with kettle fridge, drinks and breakfast was lovely. Location great for us visiting friends.

I got a whatapp message late the first night 11pm approx, asking if i had parked correctly, which i had but went down and checked anyway. The second night we returned about 1030 ish, we had been alerted we would be on our own there. The front door was unlocked and every big window was open. It felt somewhat unsafe.

Gorgeous facilities and owner attentive to details

Only improvement would be to make curtains more light proof ... even with blind behind is quite light. Fine if you've exhausted yourself enjoying surrounding countryside!

The breakfast selection in the room was great.

My fiancé and I stayed in the peacock room, which is beautifully decorated with attention for details and a lot of lovely touches, like the hidden coffe station with a fridge where you can find milk, juice, bread, cereals, cookie, butter and and jam. It even has a toaster and all the utensils. The bathroom is also extremely well equipped with toiletries - better than any 5 star hotels I’ve been in. In the hallway there is a microwave, wine glasses and a bottle opener and other handy things. Even the hallway is tastefully decorated and welcoming. The property is filled with tranquility. As we attended an event at park hall the location was perfect: surrounded by beautiful countryside. Dawn has been exceptional in communicating and ever so kind, allowing for an early check in and flexibility for checking out. I only wish we stayed longer ☺️

I like the fact it was like being at home loverly house smelt loverly. And the location for the wedding venue was just around the corner perfect

Milk, juice, tea, coffee, biscuits etc provided.

The bedroom was lovely and cosy with gorgeous bedding. The bathroom was nicer than photos suggested and the shower was hot and clean - the built in clock on the vanity mirror was a great touch. The bathroom had lovely big towels. The extras such as the food, drinks, fridge and toiletries (including sanitary towels!) were brilliant. The room was great value for money. The owner (Dawn?) called before check-in to explain the process and was very friendly.

The very creaky bed! It really disturbed my sleep as it creaked with every slight movement. The slight smell of drains in the bathroom.

Lovely property with a lot of thought gone into it by the host to make a guests stay comfortable.
