Joannes Retreat, Dog Friendly Property in Weymouth with Free Parking

Loved the decor in this property, finished to a high standard and very clean throughout. Although small in size, good layout and so didn’t feel too cramped. The host went out of their way to help set up some decorations and provide a cake for my mums 70th birthday which was a lovely touch.

No loo roll on arrival which after a long drive was a bit annoying but the bathroom had just been redone and so maybe just an oversight. No kitchen roll or tea towels to dry stuff with so you may want to bring your own. Also the constant walking past of next door to access the shed felt a bit invasive, if staying in the smaller room you have to remember to shut the curtains!

We loved the extra details and little home comfort touches that the family have put into this lovely property. It was great to have refreshments and breakfast available on arrival. The story behind this beautiful holiday home outlined in the 'Welcome Folder' is very special. Our pups loved it too!

Lovely apartment in a great location. Really well stocked and was lovely to have tea, coffee and breakfast bits. Garden was lovely and got to enjoy a nice bbq.

Wow we just loved Joanne’s retreat the accommodation was outstanding ,spotlessly clean there was lovely little touches that the hosts had put in place, which made you feel right at home from the moment that you walked in. This is a perfect place to stay in Weymouth . The apartment had a lovely warm calm relaxing atmosphere about it. The enclosed garden was perfect for our two small dogs. Jean and Barry from upstairs were wonderful kind people so very friendly. We will definitely be going back again. I highly recommend Joannes Retreat if you are looking for a perfect break in Weymouth . A very big thank you to the Hosts and to Jean and Barry from Des and Angela

There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like .

Every little detail has been covered in this lovely home. I am someone who packs everything but the kitchen sink, but I didn't need to. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Joannes Retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

This was the best stay I’ve experienced in England. I’m American and new to England so didn’t know what to expect. I found Joanne’s retreat on booking and wanted to experience the Dorset/coastal region. Unbelievably beautiful area. The property felt like home with cozy quality furnishings and was perfect for my two medium dogs. The owners live upstairs and were consistently kind throughout the stay. The property has a gorgeous private backyard and is very quiet. I have not slept this good in a year! The location is perfect- 8 minute drive to the beach. I highly recommend the 45 minute drive south to Durlston Castle in Swanage. You won’t regret staying at Joanne’s retreat! Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Private garden and well set up with facilities

Would be better to advise that parking space is fairly short. If we had brought our bigger vehicle no one else would have been able to access the drive.
