"Great wee quiet break in the wilderness"

8.0

Good wee quiet break away. On the drive up, we got up close and personal with sheep and cows and when we got onto site, horses and rabbits 😍 Host was helpful and friendly, caravan was clean, spacious and had basically everything we needed including plenty of cleaning supplies. The park is so nice, in the peak season they have lots of activites for families i.e. golf, swimming, archery, etc. The people there are so friendly and nice and a very welcoming place for families with kids and dogs. Beautiful views, nice country round about, nice to walk the dog round the lochs (on lead only). The pub and restaurant is really nice, food is not the cheapest BUT is large portions and very fancy/delicious. You can also access a good wifi connection in pub/restaurant. Caravan was also full of board/card games so we had good fun with them while it was dark and rainy and there is also a dvd player if u wish to take ur own dvds but there was a few movies already recorded on the sky box which was good! I will mention below things I wish I knew before coming and would have made experience a bit easier ☺️

Caravan was a wee tad cold but that's to be expected and warmed up once we put on all the heaters and gas fire. The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere, just unfortunate for us, it was end of season after last weekend in October so not much to do but thankfully the staff were nice enough to offer us use of the golf course and soft play. TV was very basic and there's also little to no wifi or data signal in caravan BUT we didn't mind as forced us to speak to each other! 🤣 If I was to go back, I'd go back before end of season, take plenty of warm clothes and maybe some hot water bottles. I would also stop at a supermarket on the way down as the closest one is a half hour drive from the caravan and the roads are a bit wild. Also there's no condiments/tea/coffee etc in caravan so be sure to grab them too ❤️

"It’s OK"

5.0

The safe box was good, however it was fiddly to get open and it wasn’t closing properly on departure so had to leave with security office.

Beds uncomfortable, bit dated. Paid a lot less for nicer caravans before but was equipped with what you needed. Not the hosts fault but pool is filthy and wouldn’t recommend going swimming during your stay. We checked out a night early.

"lovely chilled out stay in the Galloway hills"

8.0

lovely stay with kids, who loved the pool and the pony trekking. comfortable well equipped caravan with three bedrooms

the resort Wi-Fi is really patchy and mobile signal is too. quite nice in a lot of ways to be off network but my teenage daughter didn’t like it as much as I did
