Starhost - Trotula Charming Houses

Die Lage ist top, d.h. der Blick auf den Hafen. Trotz der Lage in der Altstadt ist es nachts ruhig, morgens jedoch rattern Vespas und Autos durch die schmale Gasse. Der Raum ist sehr geräumig und hoch, die Einrichtung vom Stil gemixt, industrial und midcentury.

Die Erreichbarkeit ist etwas mühsam, da man mit dem Auto nicht anfahren kann. Das Kopfsteinpflaster mit Koffern und bei Hitze nicht angenehm. Das Entree ins Haus und das Treppenhaus sind nicht so einladend, die Eingangstür ist extrem schmal und die Mülltonne ist der erste Anblick.

The property was tastefully designed with vintage charm and a great view. It felt like living like a local in a quaint neighbourhood. The apartment had everything we needed, even basics like olive oil for cooking, which exceeded our expectations. It was about a 15-minute downhill walk to Manfredi Pier, making it perfect for day trips to nearby coastal towns like Positano. It was also a short walk to the metro station, with trains running every 15 minutes for a quick one-stop ride to Salerno station.

We had some hiccups during check-in, which caused a bit of inconvenience, so it’s worth double-checking that you’re given the correct keys to the correct room upon arrival. The property is located on a hillside with no lift access, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up a cobblestone slope for about 400 meters and up three short flights of stairs. As we stayed for five nights, no room service was provided so it would have been nice to have more water and towels provided. A built-in pump for shampoo and shower gel in the shower would also be more convenient.

Location, view is perfect, the apartment was equipped with everything we need. We were exploring Amalfi coast and staying in Salerno was the great choice. Also exploring Salerno is interesting! A lot of places to eat, shop, and walking)

In the night in seems to be loudly because of old windows. I understand that it’s the part of the architecture.

This was such a great find. The apartment is beautiful, the street is quiet, and the location makes it easy to explore while still feeling like a retreat at the end of the day. The host was fantastic—responsive, thoughtful, and made everything seamless. We traveled with our 8-year-old, and the small bed setup was perfect—an ideal spot for a couple or a family of three. Salerno was the perfect landing place for visiting nearby Amalfi Coast towns. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful. Picture perfect, out of a photograph. The paint on the wall felt reminiscent of what you’d see in a museum. Beautiful views, too.
