The Birch Lodge located in Pegsdon

The location and surrounding area is stunning. You have the whole property for the night which is also great. It is quiet and cosy.

The cleanliness of the hotel was a real let down as cleanliness would be a top thing at any hotel. The hot tub was dirty and needed a clean and there was an odd sock found on the bedroom floor. The hot tub was the main reason I had booked however it was very mouldy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned.

It was just perfect for our needs.

Bit too far from the family we were visiting but that is not a reflection on the site.

A nice location and we enjoyed a walk in the surrounding areas. Also had a lovely Thai takeaway from Baan Thai in Barton

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was unsatisfactory. Bathrooms hadn’t been cleans (empty shower gel bottles from previous visitors), kitchen area was grimy- crockery hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was milk which was over a week out of date in the fridge. Hot tub was also unusable, smelt awful and did not heat up. We are sad to leave a bad review but we left feeling very disappointed
