Soben Cafe Guesthouse

The location was pretty good, close enough to all the action, but still quiet. The price was very low, so this hotel fits into the “you get what you pay for” category.

The room was very small. The bed was a slab of foam rubber, barely thick enough to call a mattress, with a sheet that was way to big for it and a teeny tiny blanket. The bathroom was very very rustic, door didn’t really close

The location is excellent just by the river and walking distance to all the hotspots the staff are lovely and make you feel really welcome the restaurant onsite serves delicious food and very affordable

It's very hot in Siem Reap and AC is really needed, I didn't notice when booking that my room had no AC but that was an error on my part

I didnt like anything. No tvs in the rooms, no hot water, dirty & smelly rooms

Friendly staff, the restaurant on the ground floor serves meals all day, near ATM's and shops (just across the bridge) and markets (just around the corner). The place is not situated in an overly busy street. I liked that the place was down-to-earth with friendly staff at a good rate and they were able to take care of my laundry. The room was standard, not very large, but with what's needed and the air-conditioning worked fine. Being a solo traveller Soben Cafe suited me perfectly.

Really nice old-school guest house. The food is amazing, great traditional main dishes and yummy desserts, don't miss the mango sticky rice. A part from those if you want to start your day with full power energy, take the banana pancake and an Americano coffee. On top of that, the staff will make you feel like you are at home, always with a smile on their face.

First of all, I want to make clear I knew that from other reviews, so it's not a critique it's just a warning in case you think that is important, no hot water. In any case 100% recomendable

Given that I was wfh, wifi was really good. Pretty clean rooms. The staff were really nice and friendly. Had decent options for eating. The location was very near to Pub Street but still in a silent area.

The fans in the non AC rooms could’ve been a little better. The guesthouse is closed at 11pm and you need to call them to open the door.
