Soben Cafe Guesthouse

Very good location, close to all the tourist spots. The hosts very super lovely and the food there was amazing, I ate there everyday atleast once a day. Cheapest beer in Siem reap.

I got a no AC room with a fan. I did come in dry season so was so hot all the time. Definitely opt for the ac rooms. There were screens on the windows that did not work very well, woke up every day covered in mosquito bites which reacted quite badly there. Much worse than the mosquitoes in Vietnam and Thailand. That was the only down side. Would still highly recommend

The room was small but quiet and clean and the AC was good. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. It also have a great restaurant with excellent food. A really nice place to just sit and relax.

Nothing comes to mind. It’s not the cheapest place in SEA but that doesn’t make it expensive.

This is a lovely guesthouse. They let us check in early in the morning into a spare room before our own room was available which was very appreciated. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They have a nice restaurant where we ate 4 times. We also got washing done costing $4 per kg. We hired mountain bikes through them at $6 per bike per day - these were very good for exploring the wider Angkor Wat complex (there are also other options). Nice quiet location but near everything you could want.

Not a complaint, but be aware you get what you pay for - fan only and room only cleaned between stays. We found the place good value for money.

The room was really dark

It's a nice place with a bit of character. The room was on the small side, as was the bathroom, but with a comfortable bed, a good shower, and great air conditioning. I did not eat, but the menu looked very nice and not expensive. I had a good coffee in the morning from their small efficient machine.

The refillable water station was great. The staff are lovely. Good water pressure. The fan rooms are well priced. We had the A/C room for a few nights and a fan room for 4 nights. Best value for money is the fan room. If you want A/C, personally I would pay a few dollars extra and go to a hotel.

We didn’t find the beds comfortable. It was hard to get the temperature of the room pleasant. We felt awkward asking for new towels, our bins emptied etc even though we were staying for many days. Despite this, for the price of the fan room, we cannot moan as it is very good value for money. I would recommend staying for a couple of days.

Very comfortable stay, hosts were very kind. Loved the food at the restaurant as well!

No window in the room however with the fan we didn’t notice a difference
