Hayat Zaman Hotel And Resort Petra

Away from busy Petra. Good facilities.

The hotel caters for large groups which we prefer to avoid. The rooms were good but dark: cave-like which we assume was the intention.

The unique setting and cultural feel. wonderful staff, and a great breakfast.

although I understand the cultural meaning, perhaps the prayers music played on the speakers at 4am isn’t the best for all residents.

The Hayat Zaman could not have been more perfect. About 20 minutes from Petra, it meant we were well placed for both Petra by Night on the day we arrived and then a whole day in Petra the next day. The room was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were super-attentive. But the highlight has to be the food, which was exceptional. The buffet dinner should not be missed. Fabulous salads, freshly made falafel, great selection on mains and delicious deserts. Add to this the unique ‘village style’ setting and the tremendous views over the valley and this has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed.

I thought the hotel was brilliant. The team might want to think about starting breakfast earlier to enable guests to get to Petra as it opens.

Hotel is atmospheric and very comfortable. Good facilities, although the pool was closed during our stay. Friendly staff. Great location - just 15 minutes from Petra Visitor Centre by car

A few too many tour group buses for my liking, and if you book independently as we did you run the risk of not being allocated such a good room. Ours was a little too near the main restaurant and noisy at times.

The location and vibe were excellent

Completely unique. Gorgeous property from the stonework down to the plants growing.

Everything was great but some more road signs leading to it would’ve been helpful as we were in a rental car with sketchy internet.

What a lovely and charming hotel. Great room, excellent breakfast and dinners, loved the "village" atmosphere. This hotel is a delight. The laundry service is exceptional.

Heating in the room which was a bonus as cool at night. Room was clean and the hotel was unique in the design compared to other hotels. Staff were friendly and the buffet was very good.

There was no view from the small windows in the room which can come across as a little dark in the rooms.

Breakfast and dinner buffet were very good. The view was nice and the setting peaceful.

I was originally put into a room that did not have the view I booked. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk I was moved to the room I booked which had a view. None of the amenities that were advertised were actually open for use such as the work out room, bakery....
