St James’ Blvd Newcastle Apartment

the property was nice and close to st james's park which was perfect for us to attend our event so we saved a little money on ubers. i had qualms about paying via bank transfer, so the host allowed us to pay her partner in cash upon arrival at the apartment. the host was really lovely and kept in contact about our questions. she allowed us to stay another hour because of my fibromyalgia pain in my legs and offered to let us stay a couple hours longer as the cleaner wasn't arriving for another two hours.

we would've liked blinds because it was quite bright in the bedroom. the window in the bedroom didn't stay closed so it was a little noisy but managable for us. the living room window needs to be fixed but it's the landlord's issue and not the host's fault.

Lovely cozy clean apartment with everything you need for a short stay in Newcastle. Very close to train station and 5-10 minute walk to main shopping area. Host was very responsive and helpful with my last minute late check out.

Good location , clean

Encountered a few issues on arrival with payment and a broken window however after a few hours this was resolved by booking.com and the owner personally

Close to the arena and city centre

Nothing wrong with the property was just booking.com didn’t provide check in details so when we arrived at the property we were unsure of how to get in, found a number for the host who was very helpful just meant us walking back down to near train station to pick up the key which was a bit of a inconvenience, but was easy enough.

Very small apartment not big enough for more than 2 people. The apartment was very stuffy and unable to open the lounge window for air. the handle was broken. The kitchen did have all you would need for a few days stay. Plenty of pots and pans etc. and the Cooker was easy to work. We were a group of 3 people and used this as a base as one of us was getting treatment at the RVI. There wasn't enough towels for us all , or bedding . I slept on the sofa bed which was very hard and uncomfortable I had to use the spare duvet cover and the blanket off the bed out the bedroom. The sofa bed looked like it could do with a really good clean.The Wi-Fi wasn't working when we got there but it was soon fixed after calling the host. The bedroom wasn't a bad size, but like others have said , it would be better with darker curtains or a black out blind,as it's like day time all night long. If your wanting central Newcastle right beside st James park it's ok.

Enjoyed my stay. Location can’t get anymore central Host was lovely and prompt with replies Will definitely be returning
