The views from this cottage are amazing so private and great authentic facilities

The view was really lovely

Could maybe put a dehumidifier in the bedroom to help with the smell of damp

Loved the location. The hot tub was amazing, although it took about 4 hours to heat up from cold on an autumn evening but was great when it got going and when we needed to relight it the water stayed fairly warm for well over 24 hours after being heated due to the insulated cover. Loved that it was dog friendly so the dog could come hiking too. The bed and living area was very comfortable and we really appreciated the fire inside. The shower was very warm and nice, especially after a hike. The instructions sent via email before the stay were very useful and made everything very easy.

There appeared to be black mould on the walls which I believe made us a bit sick as we both got unwell just after leaving and not being in any crowds for quite a while, we both have very sensitive lungs and have stayed in cottages of a similar age and a lower price before which didn’t have any mould issues so if mould is something which you are sensitive to I wouldn’t stay here. We made sure to keep the window open overnight but still got ill. If I had known about this beforehand I would unfortunately not have booked the stay but we still made the most of it and I’m sure it wouldn’t bother a lot of people. The taps in the kitchen were a bit annoying as they wouldn’t turn off easily. If bringing a dog, bear in mind that the garden is not secure and there are sheep grazing nearby as well as wild rabbits in the neighbouring field. We were fine with this but I’ve had dogs in the past who I would have only been able to take outside on a lead in this garden.

Beautiful location quiet and peaceful right on a popular walking trail. The wood burning hot tub was a great bonus! With terrific views of the sea. Comfortable bed Great supply of logs for the fire both inside and the stove on the covered outside area.

Bathroom was in a separate building outside of the main cottage but wasn’t too much trouble.
