Carrick Cottage - Mourne Mountains

Loved the location

Loved everything. Beautiful, rural cottage with everything we needed. The separate toilet isn't a major thing. The cottage is perfect.

The charming cottage, in a perfect setting - close to lots of hikes. The peace and quiet. The hot tub🥰

I wasn't aware there would be sheep in the field next to the cottage. My dog could easily have jumped the wall between the 2. I had to have him with me on the lead if we weren't both inside the cottage. That was a bit of a pain as a solo traveller.

The cottage is perfect. It's a very old cottage and it was beautiful. The views are stunning. Did a 7.5 hour hike and drank prosseco in the hottub after. The cottage a relaxing trek back in time but also has all the modern amenities one could require Gas stove, tv, wifi Hot Tub takes a bit of figuring out but again was wonderful using it on the second night after our hike. Heated it up to hot on the first night. Very difficult to get the temperature down so be patient with it don't overfill. The cottage gets a bit damp in the room. Again this is normal with old cottages so its not a problem for us but if you are staying here I would advise putting on the radiator in the room a bit before bed. There is also a heater for the bed that we put on. We went during summer so it was warm however if you are travelling during autum or spring pack warm clothes.
