Carrick Cottage - Mourne Mountains

Beautiful original cottage in the mountains. Stunning views.

Stunning cottage, very cosy, comfy bed. loved the open fire. Spectacular views. Very close to walk through Mourne Mountains. Dog friendly which is a bonus. Hot tub was glorious.

Hot tub took 3 hrs to heat so leave time for this. We had an unexpected visitor who must have thought it was still a cafe, signs maybe need changed.

Beautiful little cottage on the side of the hill in the Mourne Mountains. Like going back in time staying in there with all the old original cottage feel to it. The view from the front door and from the jacuzzi is amazing. Would definitely go back another visit and stay here!

Beautiful location. Views were stunning, heating was on for our arrival and it was very cosy. , the bedroom was lovely and very comfortable and bed was beautifully dressed with clean bedding. . Instruction for arrival was clear and plenty of dry logs left for use on set fire. Was great for our two small dogs. Good outdoor lighting

Outdoor bathroom was basic and badly fitting toilet seat. Did not enjoy this part of putting on coat and boots to visit Loo. Kitchen had a lot of left over items from being used as a cafe which unfortunately took away from the personal experience. Quite a lot of old spent candles lying around and there was an empty potato crisp pkt sitting on a cake stand in the living room. Needs fine tuned on the ‘clutter’. One of the kitchen chairs at the table was broken and not safe to sit on. The outside decking which had obviously been used to serve guest at the cafe had just all been left lying, . I found this all quite offputting and a totally unusable space. Not pleasant at all. It’s a shame because it wouldn’t take much to make a real feature for guests.

Our 2nd visit, amazing views, lovely cottage full of character. Hot tub great, really enjoyed our stay, very relaxing. Would recommend X

Nothing loved it

It was comfy and cosy. If the rain and wind wasn't as bad as it was it would have been wonderful. It also made getting to the bathroom slightly annoying but still enjoyed the cottage.
