Tall Trees. Luxury North Cotswold cottage

The location was convenient. The WiFi was excellent - very fast. Keys were very easy to collect. Behind the house there are some lovely fields, good for a run in the morning.

To describe this as a "luxury" cottage is really not accurate. The furniture and fittings are as cheap as they could get away with, and the kitchen is really not well equipped - although I appreciated that there was at least one sharp knife. We had 4 adults - and I was glad I'd packed two wine glasses because there were not enough for all of us. Two of the three bathrooms (the ground floor, and top floor bedroom) both had carpets. The ground floor carpet was really rather dirty from foot traffic; the upstairs one smelled - as is inevitable - of pee. The house was superficially clean, but cupboards in the kitchen and many of the dishes were quite dirty. The extractor fan filters looked like they'd never been cleaned. My bedroom (the top room) had four dirty towels in it - one on the towel rail, two on the hooks behind the door and one, bizarrely, in the cupboard. And - it's a small thing - but they didn't even leave a bottle of milk, which I consider to be a basic. I have a holiday home that I rent out, and honestly, this one is just not up to standard. It needs a good clean, and a rethink.

Property was as per the photos, was warm and large enough to accommodate all the family easily. It was easy to find and some nice pubs were within walking distance.

This is not a "cottage", it's a new build house and it lacked some touches that other Cotswold cottages we have stayed in have provided as standard e.g. hair dryer, welcome basket. The road noise was quite significant and the parking was very tight.

We really liked this house, it's very spacious. We didn't occupy it to full capacity (family of 4), but even then, I don't think you will be in one anothers way here. :) The nearby pubs were very (child)friendly. I was a little worried about an A road being so closeby, but you don't hear a thing at night. :) Lovely little break had here.

Lovely sized house for a large group. Lovely set out. Clean and tidy.

Several issues that had been raised had not been solved. Showers either too hot or too cold, oven didn't work properly, messy bins - just to name a few. We were told there wasn't a problem, so it was up to us to deal with the problems. It didn't add to a positive experience.

Everything was great. From beginning until the end. :) Our workers who have stayed here were really happy and enjoyed their stay. We will certainly come back!

Spacious,more than our expectations,wished we had booked earlier would like to book for our next vacation as well.Good heating too.The outside view pic of place on booking .com is less than what you will find.Very comfy resting chairs.The beds are one of the most comfortable beds ever.The bath towels were one of the softest I have ever sèen,indeed some magic in them.Beautiful garden.The place is actually a mansion indeed!

Small tv set for the spacious lounge,please put a large tv.No starter pack in kitchen,so if u arrive late ,you can only enjoy some black tea or coffee.some snacks or biscuits and milk could help.
