The privacy and size of the villa was great

Do NOT book here unless you want a nightmare experience. 1. Checked us into a room that had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Full garbage cans, dirty dishes, dirty sheets (we layed down in dirty sex sheets!!!) Cigarettes, bottles, candy wrappers, dried food all over the couch/chair. The entire place was filthy. They changed our sheets at 10pm! 2. Our pool was broken, they had to send maintenence to fix it. 3. Our bathroom flooded twice from the tub. Maintenence again, came twice to remove the water and try to fix the tub drain. 4. Got a massage from 2 inexperienced massage women from the hotel for 450,000 rp each person. The women wouldn't leave our room, demanded payment and told us there was a 50,000 rp additional fee for after 6pm massage appointment. (Not in the brochure at the hotel, hidden fees). 5. Manager came 2 days later to talk to us. Told us for all our troubles they would cover the hidden fees as a gift....what? And provide floating breakfast (doesn't cost them anything to put our breakfast *which we paid for all breakfasts already in our booking* in a floating tray in our pool). Horrible customer service! 6. We paid 8,800,000 rp for 4 nights, and to fix their problems they were giving us a free floating tray (we already paid for all the breakfasts) and paying for our hidden fees! What SCAM ARTISTS. 7. I put a 1,500,000 rp deposit down, once they harrased us at 10 pm to pay the charges for the day, we were already in bed and they asked us to come to the front desk.... so I bank transfered them an additional 1 million rp money as we would be staying an additional 3 nights. So we could have peace.. Now we're checking out, and the manager just messaged us saying they INFORMED US THEY WOULDNT REFUND OUR DEPOSIT. It's a deposit for a reason! 8. Do not stay here, you will be miserable! Horrible service. The rooms are really lovely, the view is great, the staff is kind. I wish I could have left a 5 star review.

Villa is located in a terrible spot, even the taxi drivers have trouble finding it. It's only 400 metres in a straight line to the beach but it's a winding 1.2 km via the busy, hilly, narrow, potholed road. (more like a goat track). Front entrance to the villa looks like a rubbish tip. All the crockery is stained, cracked and chipped, cutlery is bent and twisted. Kitchen appliances and accessories just not there, i.e. toaster, kettle, cleaning products, tea towels etc.. and not even a table and chair to eat at. Rooftop terrace is very poor, no privacy at all and the stairs dangerous and would be illegal in most countries. Pool privacy screen is falling apart with many panels missing, some just hanging, ready to fall. Pool was very cold, wife couldn't get in it at all. No Pool towels and only two bath towels and nothing else, i.e. no face cloth or hand towels. Always something missing from breakfast and never delivered at the requested time, and even simple things like butter, sauce, salt and pepper were absent. Definitely not a 4 star accommodation as advertised, more like a 2 star. The building is old, but the interior was renovated some time ago, but it's starting to look tired and needs maintenance. I would never stay there again and would NOT recommend to anyone. There are far better places to stay in Jimbarran for similar prices. We only chose The Jimbaran Villas because it had a private pool, which wasn't private at all and was so cold that you couldn't enjoy it.
