Spacious 2bedroom property by Star Suites

Booked this for a Newcastle game mainly for location as i had to my two kids aswel. Never leave bad reviews but I feel this is needed. Street all around it full of rubbish. Front door lock not safe.. pictures dont match state it's in now. No table place smelled There was a massive hole at back door that something could crawl in. Tv wasn't even on wall it was up against the wall. We immediately left was told I'd be refunded but wasn't. Just want to warn people that i wouldn't think street would be safe at night, especially for girls.

Good value for money, good location, plenty of shops and food near by and only 5 minute taxi/25minute walk to the city centre. Cleaner had just left when we arrived and the property was generally quite tidy. Overall it's a fair place to stay if your there for a night or 2 and going out.

Facilities were fair, I'm really not going to complain too much due to the price and the fact we were only inside the property for a couple hours. But bits to note, shower water pressure isn't great, most of the furniture is quite dated and kitchen tap was just spraying water out the top of the fitting.

Property smelled bad, had rubbish left over from the previous people, hadn’t been cleaned properly as surfaces were dusty and oven was filthy, black handprints on the wall, hole kicked in the en-suite door, tv ripped off the wall and sat on the floor, no dining table as advertised in pics, sofa rug and cushions full of stains, beds are rock hard, bedding didn’t smell like it had been changed, hair on the toilet seat when we arrived, showers don’t drain properly, freyed carpet trip hazard above a steep flight of stairs, second bedroom smelled strongly of weed, no soap in bathroom dispensers and no washing up liquid, hairdryer didn’t work, no side table or lamp in one bedroom, wifi didn’t work, beds broken and slanted, clumps of dust coming up from rug, light switch having off the wall

Very easy to get keys from the key box at front door and messaging before hand with code and time for arrival was ideal. Parking outside which is perfect. Great communication from hosts ( i messaged regarding heating and got a reply straight away) comfortable beds. We slept great. We went for the northen lights and the apartment was within walking distance. We also went to the metro centre which is a 15/20 min drive.

Basic accommodation which we expected but we had been to supermarket on arrival and bought pizzas to make once there. The smell from oven was very overpowering like a smell i cant describe. The microwave was also out of use as it had some sort of solvent container inside it? No idea what it was? No lamp in the livingroom area. The one there had exposed wires and no bulb.
