Cosy Private Cabin with parking in good location

I liked how serene i felt while i was there! As if the rest of the world didn't even exist...

The wifi connection only worked properly for a few minutes on my first day there... I ended up having to use my Data the whole time!

Clean, warm, comfortable, quiet. Unexpected delivery of bread, eggs and milk from hosts was a lovely touch.

Nothing to dislike, I'd stay here again without hesitation.

To stay in a cabin is always a tricky thing. On one hand it's a very nice nomadic experience, but sometimes it can get too nomadic :) I can safely say that in case of this cabin it was just the perfect experience. It was actually very reminiscent to an Alpine ski resort lodge. I very much like the Japanese vibe the room transpired and the warm cosy atmosphere. The bathroom is separate from the main room with Japanese paper sliding doors, which I liked very much, and I've never stayed in any accommodation having that before. I'm still puzzled, how can other people renting this cabin rip the paper from the frames, ruining this delicate thing. I mean ...it shouldn't be that hard to slide the doors without ruining it! Anyway... Some people wrote it was cold, I promise, with the heater installed, you'd even have to turn it off for the night. It was perfectly working and warming up the place. Transportation to Oxford can work either with your car, or also with public buses from the nearby university station. Staying in this cosy cabin is highly recommended!

Nothing in mind!

We liked everything about this cabin! It’s so perfect… Very cozy, warm and welcoming. The owners bought eggs, milk and bread which was amazing, there is a little stove and some pans. The cabin is very private and the location is great. There is a tennis court which you can use and some more stuff. We will definitely stay there in the future :)

The location was wonderful, the path towards the cottage gave such secret-y/witchy vibes. It was only a short busride from the city of Oxford. Supermarkets were also not far away and could be reached by a nice, longer walk or by bus. The host surprised us with some breakfast ingredients (which were not part of the booking), which we very much appreciated! The cabin was super cozy!

I think it's important to remember, that cottages stand in nature and perhaps the imagination shouldn't be too "romantic" - so, I might not recommend this cottage to someone who might suffers from spider-phobia or something similar. It was sometimes hard to close the bathroom door (it's a sliding door with beautiful paper but tended to get stuck during our stay). We decided at some point to just leave it open in order to not damage the paper accidently. However, if you're planning to go with your spouse or someone you might be uncomfortable with leaving the bathroom door eventually open, that migth be worth considering.

The location is secluded and nice. It was easy to get in & there was a parking space. Garden is beautiful and there is everything that is needed in the cabin. Hosts were very nice and provided us with food for breakfast.

This cabin isn't perfectly suitable for colder weather - its quite cold inside even with the heaters on, especially in the bathroom. Also, bathroom is separated from the room with a thin paper, so if you want privacy from your company in the bathroom - won't happen.

Great to have bread, milk and eggs available on arrival as we were going straight out. The cabin had everything we needed and it was a good base to explore Oxford. Easy to get to town by bus or walking (about 2 miles) if you fancy some fresh air. The bed was comfortable and the bedding lovely and warm. Great use of such a small space but it didnt feel cramped and it was cosy. Parking available and a good choice of local shops for essentials. Good communication before arrival.

Although the cabin was clean (and I realise it is a cabin in the garden)it could have done with a dust to remove old cobwebs/bugs. The garden was lovely but just outside the cabin could have been tidier. The garden furniture was unusuable as it was covered in moss. The only way we met the host was by us approaching the house - I much prefer meeting the host but maybe that's a personal choice.
