It was a place we booked far in advance and stayed for 2 nights. It was a bed to sleep in and nothing more.

The property was not cleaned well. In fact we had asked for an early check in due to our flight and arrival. Understandably it was denied but were told could leave our bags in apartment at noon. Waited for 3 hours at a corner cafe with our luggage and elderly parents before we finally were given code access to keys by 12:30 to drop luggage off. Place was empty of guests. We left. We’re told apartment would not be ready to access till 4 pm. Exhausted from traveling and a day on the street we were looking forward to our 4 pm check in… only to find the cleaners still there in the middle of cleaning!!! They continued to clean for another half an hour. When I contacted the owner/rental manager she said sometimes that happens if the place needs more cleaning than normal. Ok… didn’t seem like a disaster when we quickly dropped our bags off. Once the cleaners finally left, we noticed the overall general condition of this apartment was very poor! Not clean, not maintained… the panel flooring was heavily lifted in many areas making it a safety hazard- especially to family members in their 80’s. The one and only potential plus of the apartment was the upper deck gets a snippet of a view of the Tagus River, however the deck itself was treacherous with broken flooring and wood panels not secured down so you had to be so careful when walking on it that you don’t stumble or fall. When I reached out to property manager, she told that no one else had complained and if I want to leave then go. Wow!! A 2 day stop over to our first time in Portugal . Very disappointed! We actually asked the cleaners upon our arrival if they had some glue to glue down the floor lifted panels- they said ‘no’. The pictures of this apartment are deceiving. If I had seen the floor situation stated I would never have booked it. It is not beautiful as the description implies and the host was not accommodating.

- L'appartement est bien situé dans le quartier Ajuda, non loin du jardin botanique et du palais, et près de Belém. La vue est très belle. - Il est calme et sécuritaire, nous y avons bien dormi. - Il est propre et bien équipé, clair et relaxant.

- La peinture pourrait être rafraîchie. - Au 2e étage, nous avons été un peu incommodés par une odeur d'égouts dans la salle de bain. Ce n'est pas la faute des locateurs mais plutôt du vieux bâtiment.
