Andy and Daisy are incredibly friendly hosts and the room we stayed in was nice and cozy. Parking in the driveway and free street parking made things easy for us as well.

"Room with a view . . . ."

I only booked an hour beforehand so it wasn’t surprising that when I arrived, the host (Andy) was not expecting me. No problem; despite enjoying a large family feast / party to celebrate his son going off to university, I was quickly shown to my room . . . which did indeed, have wonderful views across the bay and of the Auckland SkyTower. The room was pretty large with an en-suite bathroom and a large walk-in wardrobe. Although I was sharing the kitchen with the family, it never felt awkward and where the guests cutlery, crockery, glassware, etc. was kept was all clearly marked.

A previous guest had removed the plug for bathroom sink so washing / shaving was a little harder to perform.
