City Centre Wallgate Apartments- Step back into Roman history

Location is excellent, being a short walk from the town centre and restaurants and pubs and a 10-15 min walk from the train station.

The property could do with a more comfortable sofa in the living area but otherwise the property is pretty faultless.....

The property was clean and well-equipped. However, to access the apartment we had to climb two very steep flights of stairs (not flagged up in the booking site). The property is unsuitable for elderly or people with mobility issues. The guest information was not sent to me in advance so I had to phone Caroline to get the key codes and to get information about the parking space. Parking is awkward without instructions as the property is on a busy main road and is tucked away behind the kebab shop. Caroline guided us to parking space and also kindly arranged for two fans to be brought to the apartment - it was a hot day and the flat was extremely stuffy. Must say the beds were comfortable, the linen clean and the shower very good. Very clean apartment overall.

Two or three steep steps led down from the living area to the bedrooms. Unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Lovely modern, clean flat close to town with an outdoor area which was a bonus. The hosts were excellent, we needed to contact the hosts for some facilities for a baby and they were very quick to respond and help us out

The flat is directly above a shop and bedrooms are next to a main road. The windows aren't double glazed so do expect some noise into the evening but we were out most of the time visiting family so didn't bother us too much. Also some door wedges to be able to prop the bedroom doors open as they are quite heavy, would be a nice addition.

it would have been nice to have some complimentary water and better coffee.

It was very clean and a good shower

The windows weren't double glazed and the noise from the street was very loud. No pillow protectors or mattress protectors which is usually standard

Perfect location to the town centre. Spacious apartments with great facilities. Bright and clean.

Central to Colchester, clean, tidy and well furnished and parking

No tea towel 😂
