The Pack Horse Exmoor National Park Allerford Riverside Cottage & Apartments

Idyllic setting, very clean, smart, well equipped & comfortable first floor apartment with beautiful dual aspect views which included Dunkery Beacon. A warm welcome and some useful essentials plus a gorgeous cream tea! Enclosed field nearby completed our very dog friendly stay. We even saw a Kingfisher on the river. Perfect. Many Thanks 😊

Beautifully presented in a gorgeous location

I know it’s the season for spiders but there were a lot of them and many cobwebs on arrival and then throughout the stay. Using a vacuum in all the corners at change over would reduce the spiders. My wife is from Brazil where most spiders are dangerous.

Het is een prachtig plekje in een mooi dorpje. Er is een tuin waar je heerlijk in kunt genieten van een kopje thee. En het appartement is schoon en verzorgd, het is thuiskomen.

What a find!! Such a beautiful village and the Packhorse was just fabulous. Can't wait to return. Lovely welcome to a cream tea. Lovely decor. We had Wisteria so there are steps but a cute little balcony. Our hosts couldn't have been lovelier.

Remember to pack towels and be aware they charge for laundry as there are no laundry facilities in the flat.

It was a wonderful apartment, clean, comfortable and in a beautiful position, with all that you would need during your stay, even down to dog towels and bowls if you forget to take them. There was a wonderful welcome tray with delicious scones, jam and cream, plus other delicious treats. There are tables and chairs in the courtyard with umbrellas, where you can either sit and eat your meals or just sit and chat The owners were very friendly and helpful. A perfect place to stay.

Very cosy and comfortable. Small but with every facility and lots of extra creative items! Ideal for a couple.

No toilet brush!

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and equipped to a high standard. On arrival we were greeted by Paul who showed us to our accommodation and explained all 'the need to knows'. There was a lovely welcome tray providing a cream tea (jam first, of course!) and other goodies. The area is tranquil and picturesque, providing the perfect getaway.
