The Pack Horse Exmoor National Park Allerford Riverside Cottage & Apartments

Paul the owner made us very welcome we were greeted with some lovely treats .The place was decorated for Xmas and looked beautiful.unfortunately it was the weekend of the terrible storm and the property along with the whole village lost power but Paul checked on us several times and even drove into the nearby Town to buy us fish and chips for our evening meal.Have booked again for next year when hopefully the weather will be kinder to us.

We love everything it is such a special place to us.

cosy little cottage. really quiet. beautiful patio and gardens. hosts very helpful weather changed to very cold but the cottage was kept very warm lovely walk through the woods to other villages and tea gardens. less than a 10 minute drive to big supermarkets in Minehead. lots of beaches around. Dog friendly.

nothing to dislike

Quiet comfortable and spacious apartment well equipped for self catering and set in well maintained colourful garden. Complimentary cream tea on arrival greatly appreciated.

Property entrance not clearly marked in a narrow street.

Very friendly Helpful We had a very cold spell the first week and the cottage was really warm and cosy. Beautiful courtyard and very quiet location. Walk through the woods 20 minutes to a beautiful garden cafe at Selworthy and opposite way 30 minutes to another tea garden at bossington and then the beach. Less than 10 minutes drive to Minehead for Lidl etc. So lovely rural holiday with a town within reach. Loved it.

Paul was friendly and location was brilliant. Nice and quite and local to everything . Really nice addition was cream tea on a tray upon arrival . Lovely scones

Noisey plumbing. Seats in front room too wide for little people , so this made it uncomfortable.

Beautiful location, lovely walks from the doorstep but close enough for daytrips to main towns and sites to see/things to do, very peaceful, helpful and friendly hosts!

Beautiful location with lots of local walking and other attractions. The appartment was cosy and perfectly equipped, with fresh flowers and scones awaiting our arrival. Lovely seating area outside and burbling stream outside our windows. Paul and Will very friendly and helpful.

Everything really good. However, for some reason our welcome 'pack' didn't arrive so we didn't realise we needed to bring towels

Wisteria ideal apartment for two, spotlessly clean and comfortable with the added bonus of the balcony overlooking the river and countryside. Also relaxing in the lovely courtyard amongst the flowers. The cream tea on arrival was delicious. Only a minute from the A39, ideal for getting out and about but you think you'd stepped back in time in this peaceful, friendly, country village. The setting is magical with the Packhorse Bridge on the doorstep. Thank you Paul for carrying our cases and our little chats and Wills for those scones😋
