"Summer student pads"

8.0

The location is fine, as a University accommodation just little outskirts of City, so quiet during summer vacation. All purpose build bit like offices but many brick facade blocks. Shower was good if you choose en suite, but mattress and linens weren't great. Desk and chair useful. Good security and leafy, 10 mins by bus to City Centre. Tesco, Subway on site. Singleton Campus nearby. If you stay for a short while to enjoy the City, Beaches such as Mumbles very cheap and convenient. Love Swansea.

Reception times and service is very limited, never seen one, call Security Officers by given number 24/7 but not tour guide. Facility was basic, shared kitchen had only fridge, microwave and kettle but bring own tea bags, milk for tea. No pots, pans, toaster, if you wanted to cook in shared kitchen. Only shower expect basic but decent. You can't bring family or boyfriend or girlfriend to share bed or room, singles only. Book each room if you like. Slightly out of town, not walking distance to places at night.

"The room was fine and what we expected"

8.0

Convenient for our needs. Easy to check-in when we got there. Check-out was fine as well. The room was clean, quiet and as expected.

It was difficult to confirm the booking and I had to call. I then had to fill in a form that they emailed and they needed me to upload photo id. They did not send check-in instructions until the night before.

"Basic, clean but unhappy about the parking situation"

6.0

Friendly staff

The advertisement really should be honest and upfront about car parking. It’s no big deal to pay £3.50 a day but an entry card should be provided. I got back early everyday for fear there would be no attendant to let me in

The staff were lovely, especially Luke, who helped me a lot. The location for buses is good, i was able to to straight from 300m from my room to Bristol Airport. The was good and the room was spacious. There was a tesco on the campus, albeit with restricted hours. If the weather is on your side, you're on the beach front.

The bed was ridiculously uncomfortable and i tried to change it or the room but at the weekend the accommodation office shuts down. The description said kitchen available and i phoned to confirm but there was nothing only the stoves, fridge, a wonky kettle and a microwave. No plates, toaster, knifes, pots or anything. Eventually the guy at accommodation rummaged about and got me essentials. There is nothing there, no tvs, no public toilets, parking is discouraged and i had to wait in a prsyee riom for my bus. I'm afraid tge campus haven't enbraced letting rooms out to the public, they've missed the point on so msny issues.

"Disappointing - information you need to know before booking"

3.0

The Clock Tower building entrance to find security to obtain the key card is not clearly marked. Once in the Clock Tower there is a notice to phone security – this number should have been provided in the emailed information. 01792606010 The mobile phone reception in the area is weak whether using O2 or Vodafone. Security were very quick to respond, thankfully. The amount of time between presenting the key card to the door to the block and the door to the group of rooms was adequate but extremely short to access my room. The sink in the shower room was out-of-date with separate hot and cold taps. This would have been acceptable if it wasn’t for the case that they were push button and gave a set amount of water. Hence it was impossible to obtain a comfortable water temperature to, for example, wash your face. The bed ranks as the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. There appeared to be hardly any depth of material covering the springs in the mattress. No bin in room No kettle, coffee, tea etc in room The sole kettle in the communal kitchen did not work No pots, pans, crockery (apart from mugs) or cutlery in the communal kitchen In one of the many (too many) messages that were received it stated the day before I arrived “Please note there is no parking available on site. Please use Park and ride.” This considerably alarmed me because it was the first time I believe I had seen this information. It was not correct – there is visitor car parking (although some distance from the block) at a cost of +/- £3.50 per day. If you wish to go for an evening out in Swansea without taking the car the buses are plentiful before 8 pm and scarce after.
