Casa de Praxides Tourist Inn Palawan

Nice hotel, in an old building, with a nice garden in front and loads of flowers. very clean, basic amenities, the lady owner and the staff were very nice and helpful with booking transport and trnsfer to the airport. There is also a sitting area where you can have coffee in the morning.

I stayed a lot of places in puerto princesa and this is my fav. Good location- walking distance to the main night life area, and an even shorter walk to a couple of stores, eateries, barber, and laundry, even a good dentist, and not over-far from airport. Real matresses- nice and firm, and thats pretty rare in palawan. Mini fridge in the room is a bonus and the owner is in process of replacing the aircon units that some reviews mentioned, so thats good. In addition, Wifi is now okay in the rooms too, and superfast in lobby area. Theres not really public access to the kitchen as one review mentions, but there is a toaster and microwave you can use in the breakfast room, and a hot water dispenser. The host is very nice and can help you book any trip, and often helped me with other advice like finding a dentist or doctor. Oh, and not much problem with cockerals in the morning, slight only, but you are in the Philippines now...

As of now, no hot water (there used to be in the old days). However, of the hotels in pp that do have hot showers, i have yet to find one that works!

Ms. Ann at the front desk was lovely. Close to everything. Good breakfasts.

Bed was really hard.

We just had one night here for transfer.

We would not stay here if we were on holiday in Puerto Princessa. It was fine for one night but the AC was pretty loud. Everything in the room seems a little bit older.
